The European Biomass Association (AEBIOM) organised a workshop on “Biomass for District Heating and Cooling” on 22 June in Brussels.
AEBIOM had put together a programme covering the framework of district heating and cooling (DHC), the current situation in Europe, latest technologies and market development of the sector. The main outcome of the workshop were recommendations to EU Member States on how to include district heating and cooling into their national Renewable Action Plans.
Furthermore, input for the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling was given.
