Cogeneration DirectivePublished on 16-07-2009

The directive “on the promotion of cogeneration based on a useful heat demand in the internal energy market” (2004/8/EC) represents the single most important piece of European legislation for the cogeneration sector. The directive will be implemented by February 2006 and aims at “creating a framework for promotion and development of high efficiency cogeneration”.
