Biomass Policies Workshop: How to shape a resource-efficient policy framework for bioenergy?
Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, Piet Heinkade 11, 1019 BR, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Biomass Policies brings together eminent biomass, bioenergy and biofuel European experts to provide a better understanding of how this resource can be efficiently integrated in the energy & biomaterial systems, taking into account the domestic availability of biomass resources, new conversion technologies as well as new stimulation and regulation measures. The main aim of the project is to develop integrated policies for the mobilisation of “resource efficient” indigenous biomass value chains in order to provide evidence for 2020 (the bioenergy targets set within NREAPs) & 2030 as well as to inform other EU28/ national energy and non-energy policy measures.
This workshop will:
- Present policy recommendations on resource-efficient biomass uses;
- Provide evidence on whether NREAPs projections for biomass in heat, electricity and transport will be met with the current policy framework and if these projections correspond to resource-efficient value chains;
- Provide an approach on how to measure resource efficiency in value chains.
- Further information about Biomass Policies can be found at www.biomasspolicies.eu.
