Heat 2014 | Wednesday 5th November | Hotel Russell, London

Lean Heat: Moving to a more efficient heat energy economy

Heat 2014 takes place at an important point in the political cycle, as the energy sector responds to the European elections, looks at the implications of the Scottish referendum and plans for the General Election in 2015. Energy is a centrepiece of the debate at all levels of policymaking, particularly issues related to cost and security of supply.

With heat accounting for around half of our energy use, the challenge of meeting our need for heat in a cost effective way has placed a renewed focus on efficiency. How can we cut waste from the UK’s heat needs to manage costs and increase security of supply whilst still meeting our carbon targets?

This year’s Heat Conference will focus on Lean Heat. We will look at the policies needed to move to a more efficient heat energy economy and inspiring examples of how policy is being translated into practice.

Join the UK CHPA at Heat 2014 to debate:

  • How can we ensure efficient investment to keep down users’ costs?
  • How can better understanding the user's needs improve system design?
  • What action is needed – from local to European level – to enable lean heat to be a reality for businesses and householders?
  • What opportunities are there for the integration of energy systems in ways which control costs or even create revenues for heat users?
