International Course on Cogeneration - 14th edition
From 9 to 13 September 2013, COGEN Flanders is organising the 14th edition of its "International Course on Cogeneration".
This international course covers a wide spectrum of CHP-topics, assuring that the participants have acquired the basicknowledge what cogeneration is. Our experience is that the course was useful to both, participants with or without experience in CHP.
The course consist of two parts:
- part 1 (monday) is an introductory day, mainly for those who are not that familiar with the basics of CHP, thermodynamics and electrical generators.
- part 2 (tuesday - friday) involves lectures on all kind of aspects of CHP (combustion, boilers, ORC, absorptioncooling, Trigeneration, Gas &steamturbines, Gasengines, European CHP legislation, gridconnection, economics,....).
The ICC (International Course on Cogeneration) is a combination of lectures by experienced CHP-specialists and practical sessions (labs).
For this reason the number of participants is limited to 25, which also allows for greater interactivity during lectures. The course is entirely in English and thus open to international participants.
The course is organised in collaboration with University College West Flanders (Part of University of Ghent) and COGEN Europe.
