10:45 – SESSION 1: Industry Leaders’ Visions – Ensuring a Competitive and Sustainable Europe
European industry and political leaders agree that the EU Green Deal must be accompanied by a Clean Industrial Deal to safeguard Europe’s industrial competitiveness, as all sectors of the economy make efforts towards achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. The cogeneration sector has a strong manufacturing base in Europe, employing more than 100,000 people. Moreover, cogeneration solutions continue to enable industry, SMEs and district heating operators to stay competitive and reduce their emissions, whilst supporting highly skilled jobs across value chains locally.
During this session, CEOs representing leading companies in the cogeneration sector will share their visions for an ambitious Clean Industrial Deal that will contribute to a successful EU Green Deal implementation.

15:00 – SESSION 3: Energy Consumers’ Voices for a Successful Clean Industrial Deal
European industry, small businesses and citizens need affordable, secure and clean heat and power. Energy efficient and renewable energy solutions are available today to address the diverse needs of energy consumers. Yet clean energy investments in both individual projects and more broadly energy infrastructure have slowed down in recent years, due to the multiple crises impacting the European economy and society.
This session will explore the different perspectives of energy consumers, from industries to SMEs and districts. Speakers will identify challenges and opportunities for the implementation of the EU Green Deal, as well as voice out their recommendations to EU policymakers for the upcoming Clean Industrial Deal.
