“We are very excited to welcome Alfa Laval as a member of COGEN Europe,” says Hans Korteweg, Managing Director of COGEN Europe. “Alfa Laval is a truly global company with vast experience and knowledge, notably in relation to heat exchangers, which are a vital component of cogeneration systems. It’s also a highly innovative company with a strong commitment to technologies that enable greater efficiency and sustainability, whilst also reducing emissions. We look forward to working with Alfa Laval and drawing on their considerable expertise.”

“Alfa Laval supports and shares COGEN Europe’s vision of a decentralised, resilient, carbon-neutral European energy system by 2050,” says Claes Ericsson, Alfa Laval’s Head of Equipment. “By joining COGEN Europe, Alfa Laval becomes part of the bigger picture within cogeneration. Our membership of the association will provide us with unique opportunities to influence EU policymaking on energy, climate, and environmental matters. At the same time, we can also help to make COGEN Europe more representative of the whole energy supply chain.

Enhancing energy efficiency is necessary in order to cut carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This can be achieved through innovative technologies that reduce energy consumption by using more efficient heat transfer solutions in existing processes, such as heat recovery. Alfa Laval provides a range of solutions in areas where the energy sector, industry and other stakeholders must work together to accelerate developments that will save energy and reduce CO2 emissions.
