COGEN Europe, the European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration, is delighted that Helbio has become its latest member. Helbio operates in the hydrogen and energy production sector. More precisely, Helbio develops hydrogen production systems for industrial use and integrated systems with fuel cells for cogeneration production.
“With the European Green Deal gaining momentum, it is important that we ensure energy efficiency is a key element of all its different policy initiatives. We need to ramp up the deployment of renewable and energy efficient solutions to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Our future energy system shall be carbon neutral, resilient and decentralised with empowered citizens and businesses generating their own power and heat. We believe cogeneration will be the cornerstone to build that system in an affordable way,” Hans Korteweg, Managing Director of COGEN Europe, explains. “Therefore, we are happy to have a strong and dedicated player such as Helbio on board. Together, we will promote this vision and put Europe on the right track to a carbon neutral future,” Mr. Korteweg continues.
Mrs. Melissa Verykios, Helbio’s Business Director stated: “Helbio is thrilled to join the community of COGEN Europe. As the leading European Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration and one of the most innovative incubators of cogeneration efficiency, this team of COGEN Europe can effectively drive awareness and focus for Europe and the world to make the swift change to climate neutrality by 2050. The Helbio team is prepared to play a major role in the unfolding of widespread hydrogen technologies in decentralised and negative carbon applications around the globe, through Helbio’s highly efficient technologies in micro-cogeneration, transport and industrial hydrogen production. Helbio believes that today’s momentum and synergies are the pathways to create economies of scale, and to prove how hydrogen can be the affordable energy source, available to everyone very soon”.
